The Coding & Cryptography Research Group (CCRG) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore is seeking candidates for the following positions:
NTU is a research-intensive university with globally acknowledged strengths in science and engineering. It provides a high-quality global education to more than 33,500 undergraduates and postgraduate students. As the main science and technology university in Singapore, NTU makes significant contributions to the nation's renewed drive for research and innovation spearheaded by the Singapore National Research Foundation. NTU's main 200-ha residential, garden campus - housing Singapore's largest on-campus residence infrastructure is located in the south-western part of Singapore. CCRG at NTU was established in 2007 to advance the theoretical and applied frontiers of coding and cryptography, through an interdisciplinary approach. The group has won significant research funding from the Singapore government.
For a research fellow, a strong background in theoretical computer science, game theory, optimization, or multiagent systems is expected; an existing track record in algorithmic game theory/computational social choice will be a plus. The positions are for 1-3 years.
Salaries are competitive and are determined according to the successful applicants' accomplishments, experience and qualifications. Travel funding is available. The positions are open till they are filled. Interested applicants should send their detailed CVs, research statements, and contact details of at least three referees to Dr. Elkind (email@example.com).
For a PhD student, a good first and/or second degree (B.Sc./M.Sc.) in computer science, mathematics, economics or related subject, as well as some evidence of ability to do research is expected. The successful applicants will receive a stipend, as well as a tuition fee waiver. For more information about our PhD program, please visit http://www.spms.ntu.edu.sg/mas/Graduates/GradProgramOverview.html. The website also contains instructions on how to apply.
