Tenure Track Faculty Openings

Tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor level are available in the following areas:

  1. Bioorganic, Bioinorganic, Bioanalytical and Biophysical Chemistry
  2. Food Chemistry
  3. Green Chemistry
  4. Molecular Materials
  5. Medicinal Chemistry
  6. Organometallic and Coordination Chemistry
  7. Polymer Chemistry
  8. Physical and Analytical Chemistry
  9. Synthesis Methodology and Catalysis
  10. Theoretical and Computational Chemistry

All candidates must have a PhD and preferably have post-doctoral experience as well. Candidates with outstanding achievements in research and excellence in teaching in other areas of Chemistry and Biological Chemistry will also be considered.

Application Procedure and Documents:

(1) Curriculum Vitae

  • Personal Particulars - state name, contact details (e-mail, phone, confidential fax), nationality and date of birth;
  • Education - list degrees received, dates gained, grade of qualification, universities attended;
  • Chronological Employment History - list all academic and non-academic positions held, provide names of organizations, periods of employment and job titles;
  • Teaching Record - indicate the courses you have taught and the extent of your responsibility for courses preparation. Provision of teaching evaluation results is not obligatory but will certainly strengthen your application;
  • Public and Professional Service - list major invited addresses, fellowship in professional and learned bodies and professional qualifications;
  • Research Grants - state the research grants obtained or sought in the last 3 years. For applications where the outcome was successful, briefly describe the project(s), the progress to date, amount of the award and whether you are the Principal Investigator. It would be helpful to indicate any patents obtained (or sought) resulting from your research. State the number of Masters/PhD students you have successfully supervised and indicate 3 of your publications in the last 5 years which you consider to be the most significant;
  • Referees - provide the names, addresses, e-mail addresses and fax numbers of 3 referees;
  • Publications - list your publications, grouped according to papers (refereed), papers (non-refereed), books, book chapters and others, including number of pages in bibliographic form. (Do not send lengthy papers, articles, manuscripts via e-mail attachments unless requested);
