Low Kah Choon, SMJK Heng Ee, Pulau Pinang, Mathematics & Economics intake 2008
To be an actively involved in sports and maintaining academic result is a very tough task. However I do enjoy every single moment of it especially the return result of our hard work. Although not every race we won but when the boat touches the finishing line our heart will be so relieved of after all those tough day and night training.
Being a dragon boat rower for Malaysia team makes me proud of my country, my team and me. I am from a moderate family which hardly allowed me to travel by air. Being a rower of my dragon boat team- Pacific West dragon boat team allowed me to have the opportunity to represent my country to China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and et cetera all by air. Being abroad fighting for the championship title teaches me a lot of others cultural, spirits and mentality. From there I learn the professionalism of international rower, people’s determination and hardship in training. Furthermore, I was exposed to the high technology training methods from the West.
Being in NTU SPMS Math and Economics courses expose me to a deeper interest in Mathematics World and World Economics Market. Together with the professors’ easily understanding teaching methods allowed me to maintain my academics performance.
