Q1. I have a degree from a foreign university - am I eligible to apply for admission to programs by research?
As long as you meet the basic requirements of a particular program of study, you are eligible to apply for admission to that program. The Selection Committee will evaluate each application on a case-by-case basis.
Q2. When will I know the results of my application?
A period of 3-4 months will normally be required for processing of research applications, depending on whether applicants have to be interviewed or not. Q3. Is TOEFL and GRE scores required for the admission application?
Good TOEFL (for international applicants whose native language is not English) and GRE scores are normally required. However, both scores may be waived in exceptional cases.

Q5. What are the fees I need to pay?
Every year, the research fee and other fees are reviewed and are subject to revision. As and when fees are revised, the new fees will be applicable to all existing and new candidates.

The University offers research scholarships to candidates with outstanding academic records to enable them to pursue higher degree studies by research on full-time basis.

Q8. Is medical examination and medical insurance required for foreign students?
All full-time international students and all students awarded scholarships must undergo and pass a medical examination prior to admission to the University. The medical examination must be done at the Medical Centre in Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
International students who fail the medical examinations cannot be admitted to the University.
All full-time international students must subscribe to the University's medical insurance scheme upon registering for admission. The insurance participation form will be given to students when they register for admission at the University.
Q9. I have searched through the website but not able to find any related information for part time graduate program by coursework? When does SPMS intend to offer this coursework based program?
At this moment, SPMS offers graduate program by research. Once the decision to offer the graduate program by coursework is confirmed, we will publish an announcement and details at the website. Thank you for your support!
