The NTU team comprising SPMS students has done well at the recent International Mathematics Competition (IMC) for University Students 2009 held in Budapest, Hungary. The SPMS undergraduates in Mathematical Sciences: Le Quang Nhat, Raymond Christopher and Chan Swee Hong, came in 19th in the team category (out of 65 teams), outperforming teams from Cambridge, Michigan, Warwick and Amsterdam. Nhat and Raymond also received the “First Prize” award presented to the top 56 contestants from a field of 347 participants, while Swee Hong received an “Honorable Mention”.
