"Good time really flies, three years passed really quickly. Despite all the uncertainties of being the pioneer batch without knowing what to expect, it was really fun to learn chemistry in CBC. I had lessons in classes with less than ten people hence classes were small that we can clear any doubts during lessons making it really conducive for learning. I am really thankful for the professors who are really dedicated to teach us and inspired us to know more about chemistry. I am going to really miss all the great times I had here during my university life."

"I am very happy of choosing CBC as my major. Study science is not as boring as I think because the course arrangement is so flexible and considerate. Year one course aims to build a good foundation of all students, however, outstanding students can join fast track to shorten the time. The close relationship between students and professors are also one main reason of my choice. Professors are so kind and helpful so I am never afraid of approaching to them when I have questions. As a secretary of 2nd SPMS management committee, I learned a lot in the past year. It’s a very treasure experience for me. We organized quite a number of interesting events for SPMSians. I believe if you like math, physics or chemistry, SPMS is just the right school for you! FAN YAN LIANG

“The professors and lecturers in CBC are very approachable and friendly. I enjoyed the times when we had Frisbee sessions, and the students and professors/lecturers interacted with each other. CBC is an interactive division where learning is enjoyable and the students well taken care of. It’s a once in a lifetime experience to be part of CBC.”

"A must for exams is to learn and understand all the concepts. Remember to attempt the questions from the ten year series. When in doubts, consult a teacher or ask a friend. And the advice I would like to give to all is to persevere, be consistent in your daily work and just stay calm. Everything will be all right in the end.” CHUNG WAN JUN

"To try past year questions from various sources eg. TYS, and other schools’ prelim papers. Consulting teachers for further clarifications. To be a healthy state of mind, no matter how you have done in school. Social support from friends and family are also important. Just have faith in yourself, and make sure you practice consistently.” ANG GIM YEAN

"I prepared for my A-Level chemistry by studying the notes given by my school and also by doing ten years series for Chemistry. Not forgetting the prelims papers from the various JCs. Well, the most important thing is to get enough rest and sleep before the paper. Read through the notes and make sure you know your content well. DO NOT panic even if you do not know how to do the questions. Just read the question again and ifyou still don't know just skip and come back later.Do not waste any more of your precious time. Just try your best to answer the questions. As A-Level chemistry has 3 papers, do not be depressed or upset if you feel that you had not do well. Just keep in mind you can work harder for the rest of the chemistry papers and you can still score.” LIM LI GIM

"I prepared for my examination by practising the TYS questions and attempting past year papers from other Junior Colleges. By doing so, it gave me astrong foundation in my basics and also a better grasp of the kind of questions which I can expect to appear in the examinations. Remember to be consistent in your work. Always attend the tutorials and lectures. Never wait till the last minute to start your revision. It is a good practice to clarifyany doubts with your tutors as soon as possible. Never be afraid. The teachers are there to help you! Also, always remember that confidence is good. However, being overly confident is NOT good. Avoid burning midnight oil. Your brain needs amplerest before it can function properly during the examination the next day.” LAU CHARMAINE

"Understanding the concepts behind each chapter and not memorizing facts. Clear your doubts with teachers, peers with regards to conceptual problems. Ask "why" questions to understand and probe the concepts behind each chemistry topics. Practice problems to ensure that you truly understand the concepts and be able to apply them into any kind of questions. My advice would benot to study last minute of the exam. Prepare eachsubject early and be consistent in your work throughout the year. Never "snowball" your doubts on any subjects and never "burn midnight oil"on the day before the exam. Always take care of your health during examinations period so that one will be at its best performance during the exam period.” FOO SHI JIA
